Season 3 of Norwegian comedy Norsemen begins on Netflix tomorrow.

Season 3 is named ‘Season 0’ as it tells the story that led up to season 1, but “won’t stray too far” according to the creators.

This premiered internationally in February.

In 790 AD, the Vikings of Norheim have a hectic schedule that includes pillaging, plundering, enslaving others and solving problems with violence.

Starring: Kåre Conradi, Silje Torp, Nils Jørgen Kaalstad. Creators:Jon Iver Helgaker, Jonas Torgersen.

Wednesday July 22 on Netflix.

  1. I liked the first half of season 1, but the use of explicit violence didn’t quite fit in with some of the better sight gags which are sometimes quite clever.
    Norsemen comedy style would work better if were edited into highlights similar to a comedy sketch show, I think this is maybe how the idea for this series began.
