Sia will perform at the 2020 ARIA Awards via Los Angeles which will air Wednesday 25th November on Nine.

Dan Rosen, ARIA Chief Executive said, “It is a wonderful honour to welcome back Sia to the ARIA Awards, a decade after she last graced the ARIA stage. In that time she has gone on to become one of the world’s biggest stars as she has taken her immense creativity and unique voice to fans around the globe. She is one of Australia’s greatest ever musical exports and we cannot wait to see the incredible performance she will deliver for this year’s ARIAs.”

There will be no physical audience this year, for the event staged at The Star Event Centre, Sydney.

Hamish Turner, Nine Network program director, said: “2020 has been a year like no other. Through adversity the industry has come together to deliver two marquee events, in Music from the Homefront and the Bushfire Relief Concert. Nine are proud to once again support our artists and music community with this year’s broadcast of the ARIA Awards. We are excited to come together and celebrate the local industry and artists.”

7:30pm Wednesday November 25 on Nine.

ARIA has gone over many changes over the years, namely commercial associations, such as telecommunication (ringtone) associations, which has also affected the broadcast coverage of music videos on programs like Rage over the many years because of the commercial associations that are an issue with the ABC. Sia is a most wonderful global export from Australia and hopefully will bring interest into ARIA awards. I hope they keep it real and not kowtow to commercial interests that would ruin the credibility.
