Singer and producer Simon Gallaher has reportedly offered to foot the venue costs of this week’s Jeanne Little Memorial.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford this morning told The Morning Show the costs amounted to $1000 “mates rates” from the Hayden Orpheum in Cremorne, plus catering after cinema sessions were cancelled. On 6PR he referred to a further $500 for technical equipment. Mike Walsh, who owns the venue, did not charge for footage used from The Mike Walsh Show.
Australian TV legend Mike Walsh has been blasted as "stingy" after it was revealed that he charged Jeanne Little's family to use his venue for the late entertainer's memorial service.@MrPFord has the details. pic.twitter.com/jqWGac02MO

Earlier today Katie Little tweeted, “I’m just so thrilled to have been given permission to use the Hayden Orpheum as a throw back to the fabulous heydays of The Mike Walsh Show!!
Honestly, let’s just put all the tips into the jar for the #JeanneLittle Alzheimer’s RESEARCH fund @neuraustralia”
Representatives for Mike Walsh have been contacted for comment.

I’d say Simon has quite the book to write when Mike passes.
Yes he does
What ever happened to Mike Walsh then? He just vanished from the scene completely. We never see or hear from him at all.
He seems to produce successful theatre shows in London and Australia. Owns cinemas and theatres in the Sydney area, plus. Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne.
i agree with peter. it is very stingey of mike Walsh to charge for the funeral venue. Lovely gesture from Simon offering to foot the bill
