Press conferences see The Morning Show outrank Today
Government health updates have been big drawcards to morning television this week.

Morning press conferences around the country continue to drive big numbers to morning television.
Yesterday The Morning Show‘s 226,000 / 187,000 even outranked the Today show’s 218,000.
For comparison Sunrise was 275,000 with Today Extra at 171,000 / 123,000 while Studio 10 struggled on 42,000.
In primetime 7:30 led its slot at 601,000 then MasterChef Australia (583,000), an extended Home & Away (537,000 across the network), Foreign Correspondent (394,000)
Later Q+A drew 325,000 then movie: The Intern (245,000).
Seven’s AFL was up to 485,000 and Nine’s NRL was 347,000 across the network.
Seven network easily won Thursday at 32.5% then Nine 27.3%, 10 17.1%, ABC 15.2% and SBS 7.9%.
Seven News drew 1.13m / 1.04m for Seven. The Chase was 587,000 / 387,000.
Nine News was #1 at 1.15m / 1.03m for Nine. A Current Affair was 711,000 with Hot Seat at 587,000 / 370,000. RBT was 163,000 in 3 cities and Paramedics was 140,000 in 3 cities.
The Project drew 403,000 / 275,000. 10 News First was The Battle for Britney (219,000) and a Law & Order: SVU repeat was just 95,000.
ABC News won its slot at 765,000. Sammy J (382,000), The Drum (207,000) and Australia Debates (86,000) followed.
On SBS it was SBS World News (195,000 / 132,000), Great Asian Railway Journeys (150,000), Tour de France (128,000 across the network), and The Good Fight (84,000).
ABC News topped multichannels at 181,000.
