SBS picks up new docos

SBS has acquired Welsh documentary Grace Kelly: The Missing Millions.

This asks what happened to the wealth classic Hollywood actress Grace Kelly earned during her career? It is set to screen later this month at SBS on Demand.

SBS has also acquired UK doco The Man Who Fell From the Sky. In 2015, two men hid in the landing gear of a flight from Johannesburg to London. One fell to his death, the other survived.

Samantha Sintes, Silverlining’s global content sales executive, said: “Channels are looking for slightly more specific content this year. In the factual and specialist factual space we cater to, the focus is very much on uplifting stories and beautiful content – television that takes you to another place.”
