Season Two of War Of The Worlds is back on SBS in August featuring Gabriel Byrne and Daisy Edgar Jones.
It premiered in the UK in June.
After a series of brutal losses, the human survivors of the alien attack mount their own fight to take back their planet. It’s four months after the initial attack, and Bill has discovered more and more about the aliens. Most shocking of all are the undeniable similarities between the humans and the aliens, but Bill can’t find any possible explanation. Most similar of all to the aliens is Emily. Just what is her strange connection to the alien invaders?
In France, Catherine and Sophia who must deal with new personal problems alongside the external threat of the aliens. With the human resistance struggling, the sheer desperation to survive drives some to contemplate taking extreme measures. Could someone be willing to sacrifice one of their own in order to save mankind?

I read a very interesting description of this series- it’s the alien invasion version of “The Walking Dead”.
Really looking forward to this,as I have not read any online synopsis’s of the 2nd series so I can prolong the revelations as they are revealed.
Yes, it’s best that any fan of this re-imagining of the War of The Worlds should refrain from reading any reviews.
Not a ‘reimagining’ but another series with the much storied title stuck on it-I haven’t seen a positive review of S2 so far.
