New action / thriller The Protégé starring Maggie Q, Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson is coming to Amazon Prime Video next month.
The film also features Robert Patrick -and comes with a whopping 20 executive producers -yikes!
Rescued as a child by the legendary assassin Moody (Samuel L. Jackson) and trained in the family business, Anna (Maggie Q) is the world’s most skilled contract killer. But when Moody – the man who was like a father to her and taught her everything she needs to know about trust and survival – is brutally killed, Anna vows revenge. Sounds very much like Maggie Q’s previous series ‘Nikita’-and that was a remake of the late 90s series, which was based on the 2 films (the French original and it’s US remake). Are there no vaguely new ideas for entertainment left in the world?
