Parental Guidance takes Nine to Monday win

Parental Guidance & Paying Attention are best in Monday entertainment. Big Brother VIP gets a lift in BVOD.

On Monday Nine enjoyed back to back wins in early evening from 6pm until 10 took over at 8:30pm.

Parental Guidance topped entertainment viewing at 604,000 metro viewing, defeating 7:30 (533,000), Celebrity MasterChef (477,000), Australian Story (459,000), Big Brother: VIP (363,000) – but the latter has also seen a hefty lift in BVOD.

Later Have You Been Paying Attention? topped the demos and won its slot at 582,000 ahead of Four Corners (518,000) and Media Watch (499,000).

Nine network won Monday with 28.9% then Seven 24.9%, 10 20.4%, ABC 18.4% and SBS 7.5%.

Nine News was #1 at 944,000 / 908,000 for Nine then A Current Affair (717,000) and Hot Seat (400,000 / 278,000). Love Island was 263,000.

Seven News was best for Seven at 919,000 / 904,000. Home & Away drew 516,000 then The Chase (478,000 / 278,000). 9-1-1 returned with 225,000 with Fantasy Island at 114,000.

The Project pulled 395,000 / 224,000 for 10. 10 News First was 302,000 / 197,000. Just For Laughs Uncut was 198,000 / 94,000.

ABC News was 646,000 for ABC. The Detectives (194,000) and The Drum (160,000) followed.

On SBS it was Britain’s Most Historic Towns (142,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (127,000), SBS World News (116,000 / 94,000) and Animal Einsteins (90,000).

Bluey led multichannels at 145,000.

Today: 228,000
News Breakfast: 109,000 / 77,000.

In Total TV lifts last Monday were:
Love Island: 555,000
Big Brother: VIP: 809,000
The Detectives: 315,000
Celebrity MasterChef: 773,000

  1. just to get this straight in my mind..last monday celebrity master chef did 446,000 overnight..you say total tv lifts was 773,000…so streaming component was 773,000-446,000=327,000?sorry for what’s probably a dumb question but i’m not a roads scholar.

    1. She had her campaign to get back to as most people know. I read in an interview she didn’t want to pull out of the show all together as she made a prior commitment to be on the show and she didn’t want to disappoint. I thought she was fantastic on the show, loved every minute of it.
