Veteran US and UK actors from The Untouchables, Only Fools & Horses & Chitty Chitty Bang Bang have passed away.

US actor Nicholas Georgiade, best known for The Untouchables, has died, aged 88.

Georgiade (top left) died Sunday in Las Vegas, his nephew announced.

Georgiade played the brawny Eliot Ness ally Enrico “Rico” Rossi on The Untouchables, produced by DesiLu Studios. He appeared on 112 episodes of series alongside Robert Stack, Abel Fernandez as Agent William Youngfellow, Paul Picerni as Agent Lee Hobson and Steve London as Agent Jack Rossman.

Other TV credits included Whirlybirds, I Spy, Combat!, Run Buddy Run, Mannix, Quincy M.E. and The Equalizer.

Meanwhile Jack Hedley (pictured above), who featured in UK films including Lawrence of Arabia and James Bond’s For Your Eyes Only, Colditz and Who Pays the Ferryman? has died. He was 92.

Hedley, who was born Jack Hawkins, died on December 11 after a “short illness bravely borne.” At Hedley’s request, there will be no funeral.

Other credits included Dixon of Dock Green, The Buccaneers, Only Fools and Horses and the TV film version of Brief Encounter.

Finally, UK actress Sally Ann Howes, best known for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, has died aged 91.

In a statement on Twitter, nephew Toby Howes confirmed his “beloved Aunty” died peacefully in her sleep in Florida on Sunday.

Howes played Truly Scrumptious in the 1968 film, which was co-written by Roald Dahl and based on the novel by the same name that was written by James Bond author Ian Fleming. In a career that spanned five decades, Howes racked up 40 film and television credits, having spent the latter half of her career focusing on the theatre.

TV credits included Mission Impossible, Marcus Welby M.D., The Virginian, and Secrets.
