The Real Dirty Dancing gets US series

Aussie format which screened on Seven is headed back to its natural home.

The Real Dirty Dancing, which screened on Seven, now has a US series set to premiere stateside in February on FOX.

Inspired by the 1987 film starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze it is produced by Eureka Productions and Lionsgate.

Filmed at Virginia’s Mountain Lake Lodge, the real location for the film’s ‘Kellerman’s Lodge’, it was first staged for Seven in 2019 with the likes of Jessica Rowe, Firass Dirani, Jamie Durie, Hugh Sheridan, Anne Edmonds, Stephanie Rice.

The US version is hosted by Stephen “tWitch” Boss, (Clash of the Cover Bands) with US names Brie Bella, Corbin Bleu, Tyler Cameron, Cat Cora, Howie Dorough, Antonio Gates, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and Loni Love, all recreating iconic dance routines.

Executive Producers are Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening and Dave Emery with Dan Martin as showrunner and EP.
