Screen Actors Guild Awards 2022: winners

Squid Game makes SAG history, wins for Ted Lasso, Succession, Hacks, Mare of Easttown & Dopesick.

Squid Game has made history with several wins at the Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California today.

The Korean series becomes the first non-English-language series to win a SAG for actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon plus Stunt Ensemble.

There were double wins too for Ted Lasso.

Aussies Sarah Snook (Succession) and Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus), plus Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett and Kodi Smit-McPhee, all missed out on individual wins.

Helen Mirren was also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award, presented to her by Kate Winslet.

Elsewhere Troy Kostur became the first deaf actor to take home a SAG Award in the ceremony’s 28-year history for the film CODA.
