Rosario Dawson stars as a woman who navigates a demilitarized zone in a harrowing quest to find her lost son.

Four-part limited series DMZ, from Roberto Patino (Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) and Ava DuVernay (Selma, A Wrinkle in Time), premieres next week on Binge.

The series stars Rosario Dawson (Rent, Sin City, Dopesick), Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order, Traffic), Hoon Lee (Banshee, Warrior), Freddy Miyares (When They See Us, The L Word: Generation Q), Jordan Preston Carter (The Haves and the Have Nots) and Venus Ariel (Exposed).

DMZ also includes guest stars Rutina Wesley, Nora Dunn, Jade Wu, Rey Gallegos, Mamie Gummer, Agam Darshi, Juani Feliz and Henry G. Sanders.

DMZ leaps off the pages of the DC acclaimed graphic novel into the visual landscape of a dangerous and distorted Manhattan as one woman navigates a demilitarized zone in a harrowing quest to find her lost son.

Roberto Patino, Ava DuVernay, and ARRAY Filmworks’ Paul Garnes are executive producers of DMZ, which was created for television by Roberto Patino, based on the comic book series published by DC written by Brian Wood and illustrated by Riccardo Burchielli. Patino serves as showrunner and wrote the first episode, which was directed by DuVernay. Acclaimed filmmaker Ernest Dickerson directs and executive produces three episodes. Emmy® winner Carly Wray is co-executive producer. DMZ is produced by DuVernay’s ARRAY Filmworks in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Thursday March 17 on Binge, Sunday March 20 at 8.30pm on FOX8.

  1. One hope for this show is that it features some experienced sci-fi and action players, but even though I’m not complaining and taking into account the screenplay is based on a ‘DMZ’ comic book series, which can be hit and miss sometimes, do we really need another apocalypse / dystopian TV series right now.
