Airdate: The Campaign Uncovered: A Peta Credlin Investigation

SKY News takes a deep dive into the tactics and power plays as campaigning steps up before the Federal Election.

SKY News will screen The Campaign Uncovered: A Peta Credlin Investigation in early April.

The special will take a deep dive into the tactics and power plays as candidates prepare for the upcoming election.

Credlin will give viewers an understanding of the unlikely allegiances being forged by those who want to win power, examining the funding of independent candidates, asking questions around powerful supporters and likely level of influence in a hung parliament.

There will be insights from former George W. Bush political strategist Karl Rove, former Leader of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage, One Nation Leader Senator Pauline Hanson, National Editor at The Australian Dennis Shanahan, Nine’s Political Editor Chris Uhlmann, former advisor to Prime Minister Julia Gillard Nicholas Reece, Liberal Senator James McGrath, Australian Electoral Commissioner Tom Rogers, Minister Assisting the Prime Minister and Cabinet and Special Minister of State Ben Morton MP, and former Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

Peta Credlin said: “This federal election campaign is not merely a head-to-head party campaign, it’s now a personality contest, a character fight between the Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader. With so much of the policy ground between the two major parties now uncontested, which is a glaring error in my view because campaigns should be about contrast not consensus, we’ll see a campaign like no other where neither leader is particularly liked and the forward agenda is light on for substance at a time when our world order has never been more challenging. This unusual campaign will likely heighten the influence of minor parties and so-called independents, making ground game campaigns critical, so too preference flows.”

Tuesday April 5 at 8pm on SKY News.

  1. The thing I like about Sky programs is that I get to see the other side of political stories. Whether I agree with them or not is another matter but at least I can make up my own mind instead of being influenced just by one party in what seems to me, to be most of media. I like Credlin because she has actually been there, done that. Not keen on Rita Panahi, too over the top angry for me but I do like most of Paul Murray when he has both sides on arguing a point. I just turn off if it all gets too nasty. Just my opinion.
