SKY confirms Piers Morgan Uncensored title

"I want it to be a platform for lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun."

News UK Broadcasting has confirmed the title Piers Morgan Uncensored for the upcoming show fronted by the former Good Morning Britain anchor.

Promising a “fearless forum for lively, intelligent debate and agenda-setting interviews” it will broadcast across TalkTV in the UK, FOX Nation in the USA and in Australia on SKY News (includes SKY News Regional) /  Flash.

Morgan stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain last March and was fired for refusing to apologise he made around Meghan Markle. UK regulator OfCom received more than 57,000 complaints-the most complaints in the watchdog’s history. He was later cleared of comments it concluded were “potentially harmful and offensive” but took “full account of freedom of expression”.

Morgan yesterday said, “A year ago today, I was forced to leave a job I loved, at the peak of its success, for having the audacity to express an honestly held opinion. This shouldn’t happen in any democracy supposedly built on the principles of free speech and freedom of expression. I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new daily show whose main purpose is to cancel the Cancel Culture which has infected societies around the world. I want it to be a platform for lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun. I also want it to annoy all the right people.”

A date for the series is yet to be confirmed.

  1. Interesting he mentions free speech and freedom of expression, given it was a colleague on GMB expressing their opinion and using their power of free speech to challenge him that led to him storming off the set in the first place.

  2. “A year ago today, I was forced to leave a job I love … ” after he walked off the set while throwing a massive tantrum! But sure, bring back the “fun”, Piers.
