  1. WILTY was ok but like others have commented it was to long and drawn out at 1 hour 30 minutes would have been enough will probably watch again depending on guests i like Chrissie swan that’s what made me watch it i wish they would do another series of can of worms

  2. Those BVOD numbers for SAS are huge as you say David. MAFS is impressive (do not watch it myself but it’s performance both overnight and BVOD are unmistakable). On SAS, I was about to suggest this is the final season but BVOD numbers I guess are what’s keeping it alive and up against MAFS, not sure 7 have a lot of options.

    1. I feel like MAFS is “must watch” because of all the spoilers that other outlets write afterwards, whereas SAS is more casual ‘binge over the weekend’ viewing.

    2. The BVOD numbers are now just as important as overnight numbers or live numbers. So if SAS is doing well in BVOD then yes it will be renewed by Seven. I think the casting may need improvement. A lot of these shows hinge on the casting the right people that will entice the audience. The celebrity version is not viable enough to sustain more than 3 or so seasons. I will be interested if the producers and Seven have thought about making it more like the UK version, which btw airs on 7mate.

  3. Really wanted to like Would I Lie to You, but this was very weak in comparison to the top tier UK version. Also found the laugh track very off putting and had to switch off mid episode, all round very disappointed

      1. It’s way too common now. Pad a 30 min show to an hour, an hour show becomes 2 hours. A 3 part series becomes a long winded 10 part. With “reality” shows they can’t even stick to the advertised time.

        1. Agree with you. I don’t understand why they do that. Also its annoying when movies or shows start at weird times. The Joker was scheduled for 9.10 pm but then aired 5 minutes later. apparently 8.30 pm for Movies or major shows is not “cool” anymore. Network 10 have other problems lack of diversity in there programming. its all the same. my guess is the output deals they have or more to the point don’t have are the problem. If they had access to Paramount movies that would not be as bad but they don’t. I understand on Paramount movies they dont have control Viacom do, still it does not help. It gives me impression that the main revenue river will be Paramount+ going into the future.

          1. Padding shows is a tactic that reduces costs as making one long show is much cheaper than making 2 shorter shows or buying another in-also stops people changing channels to something else that starts/ends at a much different time.

    1. Agree!
Ross, Luke and Frank were great as usual but overall the local WILTY was pretty average compared to the UK one.
One of the main issues is that it’s just too long and tended to drag in parts.
30 mins is definitely the right format for this type of show.
