Eden Gaha joins Eureka as President

Seasoned Aussie producer Eden Gaha has joined Australian – US production company Eureka Productions as President.

Gaha spent six years as President, Unscripted Television for Endemol Shine North America, and founded Mother Media Group in 2017.

Gaha takes up his new position on 1st June and will report directly to Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin, working from the company’s offices in Los Angeles.

Gaha’s experience as a TV producer and executive includes six years as President, Unscripted Television for Endemol Shine North America, where he executive produced MasterChef (FOX), MasterChef Junior (FOX), The Biggest Loser (NBC), Restaurant Startup (CNBC), Hunted (CBS), SuperHuman (FOX), Billion Dollar Buyer (CNBC) and more. During this time, he was named one of the most influential unscripted executives in Variety’s Reality Impact Report and was ranked fifth in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 25 Reality Player’s list.

Prior to Endemol Shine, Gaha spent five seasons as showrunner and executive producer for Mark Burnett Productions on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, as well as co-executive producing The Contender, Pirate Master, and Rock Star. He also served as supervising producer on CBS’s long-running hit Survivor, earning him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

In 2017, Gaha founded Mother Media Group, growing a successful unscripted business with shows such as All or Nothing: New Zealand All Blacks for Amazon Prime. He most recently served as showrunner on Eureka’s Frogger (Peacock).

Eureka Productions was founded in 2016 by Culvenor and Franklin with backing from Fremantle. The company has since grown a portfolio of over 40 series for network, streaming, cable, and digital platforms in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

Latest additions to the company’s slate include dating competition series The Real Love Boat, inspired by the classic scripted hit The Love Boat, with localized versions being produced for CBS in the U.S. and Network Ten in Australia. Other upcoming productions and recent launches include a fourth season of breakout hit Holey Moley which premiered May 3rd on ABC in the U.S., and soon-to-be-announced pick-ups for U.S. and Australian TV networks and streaming platforms.

This year has also seen Eureka’s business expand further by taking on the development and production of all Fremantle’s entertainment, reality, and game show formats in Australia, including Australia’s Got Talent, Australian Idol and Farmer Wants a Wife for Seven Network. This followed Fremantle increasing their investment in Eureka in 2021, taking a majority stake in the company.

Eureka’s other U.S. credits include Full Bloom (HBOMax), TwentySomethings Austin (Netflix), Name That Tune (FOX), The Real Dirty Dancing (FOX), Finding Magic Mike (HBO Max), Dating Around (Netflix) and Crikey It’s the Irwins (Discovery).

In Australia, Eureka’s slate also includes Luxe Listings for Amazon, Byron Baes for Netflix Amazing Race Australia for Network Ten, Parental Guidance for Nine Network, and many more.

Before launching Eureka, Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin worked together for more than ten years on major franchises including MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, The Biggest Loser, The Voice, and The Apprentice, in addition to having produced together at Fremantle Australia.
