Goalpost Pictures appoints Development Producer

Literary Manager at the Sydney Theatre Company to develop screen projects for Sydney-based prod. co.

Goalpost Pictures (New Gold Mountain, Fighting Season, Cleverman) has appointed Polly Rowe as Development Producer.

Polly has more than 15 years experiences developing scripts to production. She has been Literary Manager at the Sydney Theatre Company since 2007 developing works with major writers and identifying important new stories from emerging talent.

At the STC she commissioned significant critical and commercial hits including Black is the New White by Nakkiah Lui, Switzerland by Joanna Murray-Smith and The Harp in the South, adapted by Kate Mulvany from Ruth Park’s novel.

“Polly has an exceptional eye for identifying and developing writers and scripts, strong relationships across the creative industries and she has a superb track record for success. We are thrilled to have her join Goalpost Pictures at what is an incredibly busy time for the company as we build our slate of television and film projects for Australian and international audiences,” said Goalpost Pictures’ partners Rosemary Blight and Kylie du Fresne.

Goalpost Pictures is currently producing, with Amazon Studios, the rom-com film Blind Five Dates, starring Shuang Hu, for Prime Video and is in pre-production on the major television series Black Snow for Stan.
