The Mandalorian returning in February, Season 4 in development.

Lucasfilm excited fans at a Star Wars Celebration on the weekend.

The Mandalorian recently wrapped production on its third season, which is set to continue the adventures of Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.

Season 3 will drop in February 2023, it was revealed at a Star Wars Celebration on the weekend.

Lucasfilm revealed footage that featured a creature of the same species as The Rise of Skywalker’s Babu Frik – known as Anzellans.

The trailer also included a shot of a destroyed Mandalore, setting the stage for Din Djarin’s promised return to the Mandalorian homeworld as he seeks forgiveness for removing his helmet.

Further shots showcased a downed Star Destroyer and Mandalorians jumping directly out of ships.

Carl Weathers and Gian Carlo Esposito are the only returning cast members confirmed for the third season. Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd has also joined the upcoming new season for a guest role.

Creator and executive producer Jon Favreau also confirmed he has already started writing the script for Season 4, even though it hasn’t received an official order yet.
