Opening Ceremony live from 4.45am Friday. Aussies hit the pool 7:30pm Friday.

Here are Commonwealth Games highlights across Seven / 7mate / 7plus:

Thursday July 28

The countdown is on to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games! The Australian spirit will be flowing on The Front Bar: Birmingham Edition at 8.30pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Mick Molloy, Sam Pang and Andy Maher will assume their usual positions at the bar when they host Australian swimming icon, Liesel Jones, and 1990 Commonwealth Games heptathlon gold medallist, Jane Flemming.

Friday 29 July

Seven’s own Matt Shirvington, Emma Freedman and Paralympian Annie Williams will take us live to the host city for the official Birmingham 2022 Opening Ceremony live, free and exclusive from 4.45am AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Bruce McAvaney will open the show as Australian flagbearers Eddie Ockenden and Rachael Grinham lead a sea of Green and Gold on to Alexander Stadium.

7.30pm AEST| Swimming | Ariarne Titmus, Emma McKeon, Ellie Cole, Kyle Chalmers and Zac Stubblety-Cook are among a group of Aussies battling in the pool.

8.00pm AEST| T20 Cricket | For the first time at the Commonwealth Games, Meg Lanning leads our team of Aussies as they take on India in the Women’s T20 Cricket.

11.00pm AEST| Netball | Liz Watson and her Australian Diamonds take on Barbados on the netball court.
