Commonwealth Games 2022: July 30 / 31

Swimming heats, Aussie Diamonds and Women's Hockey plus Beach Volleyball and Triathlon.

Here are Commonwealth Games highlights across Seven / 7mate/ 7plus:

Saturday:

4.00pm | Para-Marathon: Madi de Rozario is chasing back-to-back titles in the women’s wheelchair (T54) event, having won Tokyo 2020 Paralympic gold and the New York Marathon. Fellow Aussie, Christie Dawes, will also compete for a place in a small field of four. Then, Jake Lappin will take on the men’s event.

7.30pm | Swimming Heats: Aussie trio Elijah Winnington, Zac Incerti and Mack Horton in the 200m freestyle, before Brendon Smith takes on the men’s 400m individual medley. Comeback Queen, Shayna Jack will compete in the heats of the women’s 50m freestyle, alongside golden girl, Emma McKeon and Meg Harris. Then, the Aussies line up for the women’s and men’s 4x100m freestyle events – Australia’s most dominant event over the past 25 years.

9.00pm | Netball: The Aussie Diamonds continue their quest when they meet Scotland on the court.

11.00pm | Women’s Hockey: Our Gold Coast 2018 silver medallists, the Hockeyroos, take to the field to battle against Kenya in their debut appearance in the event.

Sunday:

1.00am | Cycling (Track) Finals: Our very own Matthew Glaetzer and Matthew Richardson are set to lead the Australian challenge in what could be a gold medal moment. This is Australia’s most successful cycling event at the Commonwealth Games with 15 gold medals.

4.00am | Swimming Finals: Our talent-stacked group of Australian swimmers are back in the pool after an incredible Day One where they claimed five gold medals. Do not miss the women’s 50m freestyle final – will we see Emma McKeon, Shayna Jack or Meg Harris head home with a gold?

5.00am | Women’s Rugby 7s: Will Charlotte Caslick and Demi Hayes’ impressive side continue their hot winning streak into the semi-final?

7.30pm | Swimming heats: Headlined by Kyle Chalmers and our Aussie men’s 100m freestyle swimmers, we are set for another adrenaline-charged night in the pool.

8.00pm | Men’s Hockey: The ever-dominant Kookaburras run on to the field for the first time at Birmingham 2022 to take on Scotland.

8.00pm | Para-Triathlon: Our Aussie stars, Sam Harding, Jono Goerlach, Gerrard Gosens and Erica Burleigh will race alongside their guides at the Commonwealth Games for the first time in the Para-Triathlon.

11.30pm | Beach Volleyball: Our Tokyo 2020 women’s silver medallists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar return to the global stage to begin their hunt for an Aussie gold medal.

11.30pm | Triathlon: Will Australia’s host of stars defend their mixed team relay gold medal?
