AFLW returns to FOX Footy

Carlton meet Collingwood kick off a new season this Thursday.

AFLW is back on FOX Footy this Thursday when Carlton meet Collingwood.

Brihony Dawson will join the broadcasting team this year.

FOX Footy General Manager Michael Neill said, “Brihony is a natural star and a fantastic addition to our line-up of hosts. Their energy and warmth in front of the camera is contagious and we can’t wait for them to join our growing AFLW team this season.”

Magpies star Chloe Molloy has also added TV producing to her commentating and footy career in recent months.

“I love my football and being in an organisation that is all about football, what a dream. We are all a team trying to achieve the same goal. Whether that’s on the field or off it,” she said.

The unveiling of the AFLW expansion to all 18 clubs means this will be the biggest season yet to broadcast across Foxtel and streaming on Kayo Sports. With an additional four clubs entering the AFLW in season seven, there will be 540 players across all 18 clubs, making the AFL the largest employer of female athletes in Australia.

Bulldogs Ellie Blackburn and Isabel Huntington, Magpie Ruby Schleicher, Tigers Sarah Hosking and Katie Brennan, Blue Kerryn Peterson plus Geelong’s Isaac Smith will headline the contemporary cluster of current day stars in the FOX Footy team.

Carlton coach Daniel Harford will return, joining callers Leigh Montagna, Kelli Underwood, Adam Papalia, Ben Waterworth, Jess Webster and Jack Heverin in the commentary box. Yokayi Footy’s Megan Waters further bolsters the team alongside special comments from Lauren Wood, Kerryn Peterson, Chyloe Kurdas, Nikki Harwood, Will Schofield and Bella Leembruggen.
