Acclaimed UK drama series Marriage, starring Sean Bean and Nicola Walker, premieres next week on ABC.
The four-part series reated, written and directed by Stefan Golaszewski (Him & Her, Mum) debuted in August 2022 on the BBC.
Marriage is a 60 minute mini-series following the relationship of Emma (early 50s) and Ian (late 50s), a white lower middle class couple whose daughter has left home. We examine in close detail the tensions, the temptations, the jealousies, the day to day tiny fury of their lives, as well as the crucial ways they need each other. It’s a celebration of marriage, of the solidity and certainty it provides in a frightening, uncertain world.
Saturday 3rd September at 8.30pm on ABC.

What a lovely surprise. As a Nicola Walker addict, I thought I’d be waiting til next year. Thank you ABC!
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this series. But you can put Sean Bean in just about anything, I’ll watch it. Add Nicola Walker and it’s guaranteed to get my bum in a seat. Shocked (in a good way) that Aunty has turned around so quickly on this one. Ep 1 was only broadcast in the UK on the 14th. Really looking forward to it.
