On Insight this week host Kumi Taguchi hears from people who don’t conform to traditional ideas about gender.

A growing number of people are moving beyond the idea that we live in a world where gender comes in only two forms. So what makes you identify as he, she, they or something else on the gender spectrum? Insight speaks to people who don’t conform to traditional ideas about gender and explores why that makes some people confused and uncomfortable.

  1. I was surprised that Kumi didn’t call on an expert to explain some of the basics of sexual diversity.
    We are all on the spectrum of 4 or 5 dimensions of sexuality; neurological, physical, hormonal, emotional etc ….. I can’t recall all details. Slowly, with some encouragement, society will come to accept our actual diversity and the world will be a happier place for us all. Hope there is a followup with more deeper scientific/ research info for the sake of the public.
    Ultimately this is a social path to understanding in our ‘modern’ society.
