At a time when Australian content on SVODs are under scrutiny, Heartbreak High has become a smash hit for Netflix.
The reboot has hit #6 most watched TV shows globally on Netflix, at 18,250,000 hours viewed in the last week alone. It is #2 in Australia.
The Fremantle series is featured in the top 10 most watched shows in 43 countries around the world from the US and Europe, to Africa, Asia and of course, Australia.
A fantastic result by all cast and crew.
TV Tonight was the first to report the show was getting rebooted back in 2020.

First Australian Netflix series to be renewed? They would be crazy if they don’t renew it.
Great to see and well done to the producers. Interesting coincidence that the this high profile Australian drama was released in the same fortnight as the Streamers report from ANZSA. Almost feels planned!
Indeed, it’s a great show. And, perfectly cast.
Hopefully a renewal isn’t too far off
