On TV, a minute’s silence is just 10 seconds…
Today Extra recapped the minute's silence for the Queen, at a fraction of the time needed.

Nine was in a commercial break yesterday when the clock struck 11am AEST, on the National Day of Mourning for Queen Elizabeth II.
While Seven and 10 observed a minute’s silence, and ABC was broadcasting the Australian Memorial from Canberra, Today Extra recapped the moment in a news update.
However, that took all of 10 seconds before it was business as usual.

“And you can stream that minute in full, along with plenty of other great shows on the 9Now app..”
This clip will surely show up on The Cheap Seats next week.
How bloody pathetic ,and straight after the news 10 years of Tinder , simpleton programming.
Please correct me if I am wrong but I was watching the ceremony on ABC and am pretty sure the minutes silence actually started at approx 10.58am? I was very surprised.
Bingo you are right, I was watching live ABC news on YouTube and it did start earlier. I was casting on my iPad and TV both had the same time.
Pathetic by nine
Normally 10 is the culprit on not following the others
Good Grief…
