US actor and writer, Mark Miller, best known for Please Don’t Eat The Daisies has died, aged 97.
His daughter, actress Penelope Ann Miller, confirmed the news on Twitter.

Miller portrayed college professor Jim Nash on Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, from 1965-1967 for 58 half-hour episodes. The series was loosely based on the film of the same name starring Doris Day and David Niven.
His other credits, mostly in the ’60s and ’70s, included Guestward Ho!, Days of Our Lives, Bright Promise, General Hospital, I Spy, The Andy Griffith Show, Alfred Hitchcock Presents , The Patty Duke Show, The Twilight Zone, That Girl, Adam-12, Cannon, Emergency!, Barnaby Jones, Kung Fu, The Waltons, Marcus Welby, The Streets of San Francisco and more.
In the ’80s, he wrote episodes for shows including Diff’rent Strokes and The Jeffersons as well as Keanu Reeves feature A Walk in the Clouds, plus 1982’s Savanah Smiles, which featured two of his daughters.

I knew his name sounded familiar, he came up in a Days of our Lives feed, without them mentioned who he played. I did watch Please don’t eat the Daisys back when it was rerun over summer in the late 70s. Such a delightful show, and thanks for the video of the opening, not seen by me in over 40 years. I wish Fox Classic or Tubi would show this one. R.I.P Mr Miller
