Back in 2014 Carrie Bickmore was host of So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

To promote the series, 10 shot this elaborately staged routine with the Top 100, drawing upon contrasting dance styles and a little help from A Chorus Line, Pitbull and Christina Aguilera.

A great promo!

  1. 1. This was epic, done I’m sure on a shoe string budget but could rival the US.

    3. Bring back dance to tv! When this show aired ratings just started to dip, now it would be considered a front running show.

  2. I had to look into it because I was scratching my head about there even being a 2014 series and Carrie Bickmore hosting (I had absolutely no memory of either). Add Derulo as judge and Pitbull to the promo and it’s no wonder this evaporated from memory.

    I did watch bits of the original run, but I think my (modest) interest in the genre died with Dance Your Ass Off.

    1. Lol. I had to google this season too, as i thought only Natalie Bassingthwaighte hosted it. I totally forgotten about this 2014 version.

      A good clip/ promo though.

  3. I found the Pitbull & Aguilera version to be good, but I still prefer the 2008 version. The 2008 promo had the Move Your Feet by Danish DJ Duo Junior Senior and it makes me want to watch this show. This song has set its standards for this dance show.
    I didnt watch the first 2 weeks of the SYTYCDA (as I was in overseas due to my grandad’s terminal health) but how many viewers watched the first two weeks of S1?
