One Response

  1. We really have entered a new era of lows on overnight free to air viewers it seems.

In ratings season, on the high ranking Sunday nights with mostly cold and wet weather around the country 330,000 for five city metro gets you the 7th highest rating spot of the night.

The somewhat unexplained dip in Nine News continues (too many advertorials masquerading as news stories is my theory) and SBS who could usually rely on 200,000 to 250,000 for their Sunday night historical documentaries are also on a downwards slump.

If I was an advertiser buying TV spots I would be trying to renegotiate contracts as the value of the spend must be dropping – even when peaks shows ‘smash the demos’ like The Block they are still only reaching 183,000 in that much loved 16-39 group.
