Renewed: The Watcher, Monster.

Ryan Murphy's Dahmer series shifts to anthology format, plus second season for drama with Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale.

Netflix has renewed Ryan Murphy’s Monster series for two more seasons.

After dramatising serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters), which turned into a monster hit for the streaming giant, it will proceed as an anthology series focusing on new subjects.

A press release indicated that future installments of Monster are set to follow “stories of other monstrous figures who have impacted society,” though specific identities weren’t revealed.

The Dahmer series has also been littered with controversies and debates since it dropped on Netflix in recent months.

Netflix was criticised for adding the LGBTQ+ tag to the show, while the series itself was accused of being disrespectful to the families of Dahmer’s victims. A crew member who worked on the show also alleged she was “treated horribly” on set.

Meanwhile The Watcher, which stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale as a married couple who find themselves being harassed by a stalker, will continue the story in a second season.
