Airdate: For the Love of Pets

New Nine series goes behind the doors of Animal Welfare League of South Australia & Vets4Pets Emergency Hospital in Adelaide.

New animal series For the Love of Pets comes to Nine this Friday night.

Taking viewers behind the doors of the Animal Welfare League of South Australia (AWL) and Vets4Pets Emergency Hospital in Adelaide, the series is narrated by Jai Courtney.

When it comes to rock-solid relationships, we say the furrier, the better. So capturing the special bond Aussies have with our finned, furred, fanged and feathered friends, For The Love of Pets is a treat for animal lovers that premieres Channel 9 and 9Now.

For The Love of Pets, narrated by Jai Courtney (Kaleidoscope, The Terminal List, Suicide Squad), follows a cast of colourful characters within the clinics who devote their lives to the animals in their care. From vets performing life-changing surgery to a re-homing unit with a success rate of 4,000-plus pets per year and the small, compassionate team who help families say their final goodbyes, For The Love of Pets celebrates the special commitment of those who protect and care for our beloved animals.

Don’t miss the exciting premiere episode of For The Love of Pets, as vets from the 24-hour emergency clinic Vets4Pets work to save four-year-old French bulldog Frankie from a nasty snake bite. Meanwhile, a stressed young mother with her three pups is brought into the Animal Welfare League of South Australia. With foster carer Dorota taking charge, mother (now renamed Bear) and pups (DJ, Tubbo and Clara) begin to flourish within the safety of the clinic.

For The Love of Pets is a Context Media production for the 9Network.

Friday, February 3, at 7.30pm on Nine.
