I have looked but just double checking… there is no Australian broadcaster this year – is there?
Stan.
Excellent, thank you
Hoping for a good night for Wednesday and Jenna Ortega. Evan Peters also deserves recognition for Monster.
Surely The Bear is a drama not a comedy?
Right? It definitely had a few humorous moments, but it was a drama. It’s an annoyance commonly known as category fraud where shows get entered in a field where they may have a better chance of winning.
I love that Australia’s AACTAs have labeled it a drama despite international awards allowing it in comedy. For an even more egregious example (per the Globes) Carey Mulligan is nominated in Supporting Actress (Film, drama) for She Said despite her being top billed, and easily is in a lead role.
