  1. Enjoy it people.FTA television in Australia is the best in the world easily.I feel for Foxtel in this country, very unfair.Don’t expect brand new current seasons on FTA though apart from one’s like the horrible Jimmy Fallon. At least that’s something Foxtel can hang on to is showing brand new stuff and at times Live as it shows in the US.People that don’t know FTA in the rest of the world are not allowed to show any cable shows at all on there channels. We are the opposite to that so as i say enjoy it and don’t complain

    1. This is some strange new use of the word ‘enjoy’ of which I was not previously aware…the FTA channels need to be culled to a smaller number showing less much repeated dreck, not more rubbish!

  2. Really really surprised Kelly Clarkson and The Tonight Show are at 9-11am. I would have thought they would have scheduled it from Midday. Its a bit of a weird programming schedule all round to be honest with you. Why isn’t Kelly Clarkson being repeated later in the day too? But overall its a lot of old programs. I honestly expected so much more new stuff. Maybe it will improve but i’m kind of disappointed and I hope they make some tweaks or something but i’m so glad we finally get The Kelly Clarkson Show in Australia. Its about time.

    1. Does seem a missed opportunity to not have those shows on in the evening, maybe even 5.30-6.30 and 6.30-7.30 as a option other than news etc if they didn’t want to compete with their own 7.30 shows directly.

  3. We know that NBCU’s deal with SWM has resulted in 7Bravo and the loss of content from Foxtel; but I haven’t seen anywhere how this impacts Bravo titles already screening on FTA through 9Life? I’m guessing Nine has lost access to these programmes too, which would turn 9Life into a channel full of HGTV content only?

  4. Will it be like 7Mate ? Repeats of Repeats, 2 Minutes of Program followed by 5 Minutes if Adds/Promos ? If so it will be Unwatchable, just like 7Mate !!!

    1. I’m in Brisbane and have asked the same question of several Foxtel techs working on several problems I have and each one has had a different answers from depends on the area I live in, to licensing, to cable, wifi, satellite even though they have all the information at hand on that score. I was told they don’t have a license for 10Shake or Bravo (because they have shows of Bravos) then another says it depends on the model IQ box. One of the techs put me through to another not too knowledgeable programming person in another dept and I got completely different responses again. I’m of the opinion the the right doesn’t know if the left hand even exists. Their live chat is the most frustrating of all so I give that a wide berth too. I’ve reconciled to the fact I’ll just have to wait and see.

  5. Strange programming. You’d think they’d put Fallon and Clarkson on in the evenings. At least it will be on their 7plus catch up service so can watch it there when I want so not all bad. Someone mentioned A Country Practice below. Last time I looked it’s all on 7plus too to watch whenever u want. I’m finding I’m watching stuff from 7, 9, 10, ABC and SBS’s free catch up services more than I’m going to my paid Netflix, Stan and Disney etc these days. Some real gems in them if you have a good poke around.

    1. I agree…only ever watch FTA and mostly stream live or catch up…way more than I can ever watch….they all have good movie catalogues…well good enough for me…..Happy to wait for shows to get to FTA…I do not feel the need for instant gratification…

    1. That’s a good question, considering that UK has Challenge TV, which is dedicated to game shows, and Game Show Network in the USA. And there may be other game show channels in the other countries. It’s the obvious choice for a new channel, in terms of viability. Even though I’d personally prefer a music video channel, but a game show channel is more profitable and enjoyable at this time.

Australian TV has to evolve anyhow, but in a way that is also successful and profitable for the networks. A game show channel is the obvious choice. Rather than another boring home shopping channel.

  6. Can we dump all the reality from the main channel here and go back to the good old days of quality drama on every night with shows like a country practice cop shop etc

  7. I have to admit I was intrigued with “Buried in the Backyard” on C+I/ID channels only because I could not get my head around why the culprit would use the most obvious place to bury a body in a backyard in the first place. I guess some just have a Degree in the Blatant Obvious. As for the rest/most of the shows no not for me I’ve had my fill thanks to Foxtel shuffling their deck chairs about with a lot of them.

    1. There are limited advantages to the backyard burial, especially if one is panicking and unplanned-don’t have to get it into a vehicle and drive somewhere else for a start and there have been cases here where a body hasn’t been found for years or decades if at all-harder now though with all the forensic tools from dogs to ground penetrating radar available to the police.

      1. Or people simply not caring about the person, engaging their brain with their conscious and putting more value on their own life and freedom. As for undiscovered bodies/remains it’s a terrible thing when that happens because it’s proof the perpetrator is just evil. As forensics etc I’ve unfortunately had first hand experience with that and it is horrendous when you have to sit and have the processes explained that they use to charge the perpetrator when gathering evidence.

  8. Like many channels…my old TV does not want to know…but…anything I really want to watch….I can on my 32″ PC monitor…which I watch most catch up on…including the ITV Harry interview last night…was better actually…no ads.

    1. 7Bravo will be in regional NSW, QLD and VIC only.

Foxtel Cable Homes will have access to 7bravo. As well is IQ4 and IQ5 boxes that have DTV tuners which are connected will also have access. Satellite Homes will not (similar to 7flix).

      1. Well that is really annoying. Why oh why is it only available in the most populated states. I miss out again!!! I was so looking forward to SNL. Yep, not happy Jan!!!

  9. Why do they think someone will watch Top Chef from 2010 or any of the mostly out of date shows on this channel. Would watch SNL if it was current & maybe Fallon.

  10. Well I can honestly say there’s not thing one on that list that I have any interest in but thanks for all the detail David ,Bravo to you ☺️.

  11. Thanks for posting this information David,as I was looking forward to see what this new multichannel has to offer.
I am a big fan of Jimmy Fallon,so I am looking forward to watching this,as I so much enjoyed watching him when it screened on 7TWO going back some years ago now.

  12. I am very surprised to see “Saturday Night Live” appear on the list. Even though it is listed as 2020, so far that is the only show I would tune in to 7Bravo for (a.k.a. record and watch later) as it’s refreshing to see the show appear on free-to-air TV.

  13. Jimmy Fallon should be on late as it’s intended! Or even primetime as it was years ago when it was on ABC. It would actually be a point of difference in a never ending schedule of reality and repeats on the other channels.

Looking forward to Kelly Clarkson- hopefully it will be available on 7Plus.

It’s disappointing that finally SNL is on Free to Air, that it’s starting with episodes from 2020- get ready for lots of outdated election and Covid related sketches..

    1. Out of date comedy I find is the worst. I remember ABC had repeats of The Last Leg with events that had long passed the news cycle. I think if the comedy relies on current events, it’s stale after 2-3 weeks. That’s also for shows like HYBPA?, The Cheap Seats, Mock The Week etc.

They really need the latest episodes of these current events comedies.

    2. All the US late night shows rely on repeats of older eps to fill in the whole year schedule-even when Colbert/Corden are showing new stuff, the US Friday shows are repeats.

    1. Exactly, 11 year old episodes on million dollar listing NY. Why is this considered acceptable television programming!? Multi-channels should provide more choice, not more repeats!

    1. Most ppl watch FTA with an antenna. Then there’s always catchup. I’ve got a TCL tv and there’s a free TCL channel with this sort of crap and straight to DVD movies. I’ve set up plex and there’s loads of free stuff. You can even watch old eps of the Carol Burnett show. I guess 7Bravo is for the technologically challenged.
