Each of the American Presidency’s six hours takes on a different theme in America’s history – race, rights, extremism, global power, vision, and economic might. Within that theme, we examine historical moments of crisis and of opportunity, exploring whether the actions of Bill Clinton brought the United States closer to the founding ideals of a ‘more perfect Union’ and ‘We the People.’

Helping explore these events are interviews with leading historians and experts, including Jon Meacham, Annette Gordo-Reed, Douglas Brinkley, Erika Lee, General Wesley Clark, Lea Wright-Rigueur, and Beverly Gage.

  1. This one’s been done to death, it’s reminiscent of Barack Obama documentaries who in my opinion were two of the most progressive US presidents of the 21st century. They’ve covered nearly every angle in these docos so nothing new here. They’re still on various channels on Foxtel who are still rearranging the deckchairs with them. At least they have rhythm and weren’t afraid to show it with their Jazz/Blues concerts and appearances unlike like most of other stitched up buttoned up former Presidents, Jimmy Cater included.

  2. Should be interesting is not somewhat biased documentary.

I have seen a few documentaries about Clinton and the Clinton Presidency and the best I can say is he is a highly complex character with a few strong personal flaw (like we all do). But working in the background he was trying to bring about change and he was a highly intelligent person, but money and power were also strong motivations for him.
