Airdate: The Magician’s Elephant

Australian digital studio Animal Logic is behind a new feature about a boy's search for his sister -via an elephant.

The Magician’s Elephant, crafted in Sydney by Australian digital studio Animal Logic (Happy Feet), is coming to Netflix in March.

Based on the novel by the prolific Kate DiCamillo, the film explores what it means to truly, deeply believe.

The voice cast features Sian Clifford (Gloria Matienne), Pixie Davies (Adele), Natasia Demetriou (Fortune Teller / Narrator), Dawn French (Sister Marie), Brian Tyree Henry (Leo Matienne), Noah Jupe (Peter), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (The Countess), Aasif Mandvi (The King), Mandy Patinkin (Vilna), Miranda Richardson (Madam LeVaughn), Benedict Wong (The Magician)

When a fortune teller passes through town, orphan Peter knows the questions he needs to ask: Is his long lost sister still alive? And if so, how can he find her? The fortune teller’s mysterious answer (“An elephant! An elephant will lead you to her!”) sets off a chain of events so remarkable, so impossible, that you will hardly dare to believe it’s true.
