    1. I had a look at the total tv figures for last Thursday and Taskmaster lifted by 22% which is pretty decent. Nowhere near as much as the lift for the seemingly unstoppable MAFS of course.

  1. Interesting to see Taskmaster so far down the ratings list at 14 for the night but getting a key result in the demos.
To me this suggests less that Taskmaster is attracting a massive young audience but that younger audiences are utterly disinterested in the news/current affairs options (use the term loosely) available in the early evening. It would be really interesting to know the average age of a television news viewer. I suspect it is 60+ now which must be deleterious for the networks. (Not a criticism of the older demographics which I am soon joining myself just how avoidant the younger people are of these shows – but it has to be said most of the tv news is very poor semi-disguised promotions today.)

    1. Well I’m 60 and I love Taskmaster this is one series which is as good as the UK’s if not better. Perfect host, sidekick and a great first cast. I’m glad it’s higher than last week, at least it beat The old Red Faces show! Also I don’t watch the news, and I still cannot believe that the news is the highest rated show every night. Who is coming home every night and just turning on the news when you have the internet all day!
