Not to be confused with Alone, Netflix competition series Outlast is filmed in Alaska with $1m on offer.

A raw survival competition series where 16 lone wolves must outlast each other in the Alaskan wilderness in an attempt to win 1 million dollars. There is only one rule in this cut throat game: they must be a part of a team to win.

I had been looking forward to this, am a huge Alone fan ……sadly with a camera crew along it felt very staged and all it did was to show the ‘bad, greedy’ side of people…whoever cast that maniac Jill should lose their job, she was the reason I skipped episodes 6 and 7 and much of episode 8….just wanted to see who won in the end. If they make any more I will not be watching.

  2. Love Alone. I will check this out, but I fear a with a camera crew this will just fall into feeling staged drama reality show tropes.

    Chefs vs. Wild, another Alone inspired type show just misses the mark of why Alone was so good. Although I will watch more, only watched one. Not terrible but, Alone works because you feel the isolation of the people.
