10 yanks Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies episode

Updated: Free to Air viewers will no longer get a teaser episode of new Grease prequel.

Updated: (honestly, sometimes I wonder why I bother sharing new info…)

10 will no longer screen the first episode of Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies on Tuesday night. An NCIS repeat is in instead.

Set in 1954, this musical series takes place four years before the hit original movie, before rock ‘n’ roll ruled and before the T-Birds were the coolest kids in the school. Four fed-up outcasts dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

lt’s the peer pressures of high school, the horrors of puberty, and the rollercoaster of life in middle America with a modern sensibility that will bring it to life for today’s musical lovers.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies rocks with big musical numbers from the period, combined with new original songs.
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies stars Marisa Davila as Jane, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia, Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy, Shanel Bailey as Hazel, Madison Thompson as Susan, Johnathan Nieves as Richie, Jason Schmidt as Buddy, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper as Wally and Jackie Hoffman as Asst. Principal McGee.

9pm Tuesday on 10.

  1. So Ten decides to present a program, announces its plans to the public, and then turns around and yanks it from the schedule. That is no way to earn the trust of the viewing public. While this particular program is available on streaming, and Ten only planned to show one episode of it, it is still disrespectful towards viewers who made plans to watch the program on Ten who have now had their plans upended. Ten should be more respectful towards its viewers, and not treat them as disposable. If they don’t, then their audiences will continue to shrink and the network will risk becoming irreverent.

    1. Sadly this has happened before for viewers who look forward to watching, and Ten aren’t the only ones who have done it in the past and that includes Foxtel (as recently as this month on Showcase) which costs more then streaming services. Unfortunately we viewers are at their mercy and their decisions.

  2. David don’t take it to heart, you do a terrific job informing us on your site…… It’s the buggers at Ten who obviously don’t know their right hand from their left hand or even if either exists. ….. Just give them a “flip the bird”. 😂

  3. With a lot of Australians tightening their belts in the face of economic hardship, this approach makes perfect sense and will in no way lead to an increase in piracy. I hope Ten rewards the marketing team responsible with the necessary TAFE workplace credits for the course they’re all currently struggling through.

  4. 10 to screen extended advert for Paramount+.

If they’re not showing the whole series it should be considered ad/teleshopping content rather than programming.
