A Deadloch ‘choir singing billboard’

Behold! A choir belted out tunes before a Melbourne billboard to promote new Prime Video comedy.

Here’s another clever marketing stunt, this time from Prime Video…

As part of the new Deadloch series, Prime Video collaborated with Allied Global Marketing for a ‘Choir Singing Billboard’ in Melbourne -echoing the singers which feature in the Tassie-based series.

Melbourne’s Glee Club performed as the ‘Deadloch Choir’ for four hours last Friday afternoon on the corner of Smith St and Gertrude St, Fitzroy.

The choir of 12 women performed renditions of Untouched (The Veronicas), Made You Look (Megan Trainor), Better The Devil You Know (Kylie Minogue), Murder on the Dancefloor (Sophie Ellis-Bextor) and Another One Bites the Dust (Queen)

Creators, Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan and lead cast, Kate Box and Madeleine Sami were also on the ground to launch the activation.

The eight-part crime comedy is now available on Prime Video.

    1. And there we go again…women…what’s wrong with a show aimed at women….better than aimed at men for a change..….Down East Dickering..Building Giants..Fishy Business..Dirty Jobs..and Blocksworld……come to mind on that score.

        1. There was a previous comment about the show being feminocentric…my comment was simply to point out there are shows aimed specifically at men too…I’m all for the work of the Kates or any women or man even they/them (as some like to be referred to) for that matter….

          1. In context the comment was about a flurry of genre types and I think you responded well. TVT allows for robust debate as long as it stays respectful. Moderating is not fun, but these things come down to the wording and context…
