  1. The fact the Corrie got more awards than Eastenders is just dreadful.
Eastenders has seriously been must watch TV, with so many great storylines all going on over the past year, not just Lola dying (which was phenomenal) Danielle should have got the award over Charlotte who like Danielle has been a revelation.
But the Acid Attack episode winning over the Goodbye Dot episode is just deplorable, the Acid Attack ep should have been better but was dripping in really bad special effects.
And don’t get me started on The Platts winning over The Slaters…

      1. Actually in the UK Coronation Street is always seen as a lighter soap than Eastenders so when they do a drama story it can have more of a impact. The acid attack had a amazing reaction in the UK where they worked with people in the field. Coronation Street actually worked with Acid Trust Survivor International as a part of it. Prince Anne visit the set as part of it.

  2. Greatly deserved for EastEnders, the improvement over the last 12 months deserves to be rewarded. Some of the panel wins were a bit baffling and felt heavily biased towards the broadcaster ITV. It is a crime that the Goodbye Dot episode wasn’t rewarded, a truly beautiful episode of television for an icon of British culture. Also telling Emmerdale didn’t win anything besides the achievement award (which should’ve gone to Chris Chittell instead of Mark Charnock).
