    1. I thought The Summit launched with 401,000 viewers. Even so, Seven can’t be too thrilled with this low of a launch figure given the size and scale of the production.

  1. i was asking the other day why 7 was winning every 6 and 6:30 news market (that particular day they did)and was told that “the chase” outperforming “hot seat” was the big reason.i was skeptical..i mean people got remotes..once a program ends they can easily switch to something else..no?now,looking at 7 melbourne’s news thrashing 9 after an afternoon of afl …i guess i was wrong.don’t understand it,and can’t see “tipping point”changing things much..but yeah ,i guess a lot is due to the lead-in.

    1. From my memory of the news numbers from recent past years, nine have lost 2-300k viewers in a hurry where as sevens numbers are more or less the same. Perhaps nine news skews to a younger demo and therefore are getting their news from other platforms. I agree, Lead in shows to the news are less meaningful than was once the case.
