2021 UK thriller The Beast Must Die, based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Blake, premieres tonight on ABC.
The 6 part series centres on a mother’s grief for her son who was killed in car accident. She takes matters into her own hands by posing as a novelist to ingratiate herself into the family of the man whom she believed to be responsible for her son’s death.
The cast features Cush Jumbo, Jared Harris, Billy Howle, Nathaniel Parker plus Australia’s Maeve Dermody.
9:30pm Sunday on ABC.

Watched the first episode, wont be back for any more…sad because it has a great cast and had potential to be a good story.
It seems that I’m swimmming against the tide when a story needs 5hrs to be told. BritBox appears to have a liking for stories with disfunctional policemen.
