US reality contest Tough as Nails looks set for an Aussie TV adaptation by Eureka Productions.

“We’re looking for hard-working Aussies who are tough thanks to their jobs. Essential Workers who use their hands and physical skills to keep our country running. Men and women who are the backbone of Australia,” a casting notice declares.

“Toughness comes in all shapes and sizes. Tradies, Firies, Defence Force, Landscapers, Mechanics, Farmers, SES and more… A competition like no other. With real work-site challenges. Where everyone takes home a cash prize!
Prove to yourself and Australia that you are the best of the best!

The US series hosted by Phil Keoghan has screened 5 seasons.

Applicants must be over the age of 18yrs from October 1st 2023, fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and available for the five weeks of filming from October 2023 – February 2024.

  1. I’m surprise that no network or Foxtel has picked up the US version to air here. I’ve never seen it, although know of it through Phil’s Twitter posts. Looks like it’s once show where it won’t be full of wanna be “influencers”.

  2. I’d check the US version of this out if they every played it here…seems like something different and I love Phil! Also the casting being what it is should involve less influencers.
