An emergency call handler in Glasgow receives a desperate life-and-death call from a woman who appears to know him.

UK drama The Control Room will have a Free to Air premiere on ABC from early September.

The three-part drama tells the story of Gabe, an ordinary man who works as an emergency call handler for the Strathclyde Ambulance Service in Glasgow.

His world is turned upside down when he receives a desperate life-and-death call from a woman who appears to know him.

With Gabe under pressure to work out who she is, he makes a decision that threatens to have devastating consequences.

The series stars Iain De Caestecker and Joanna Vanderham and screened on Foxtel a year ago.

8:30pm Friday September 1 on ABC.

  1. I watched this last year on BBC First and was disappointed it was not as psychologically thrilling as some reports said it was…I love a good show where the adrenaline pumps, has you on the edge of your seat…that’s a sign of a show.

  2. Iain De Caestecker was terrific in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. so I’m definitely giving this a shot. Over seven seasons he really took us on an emotional rollercoaster so he’s got the chops.
