SBS locks onto 2024 Upfront
SBS programming showcase will be unveiled in late October.

SBS will hold its 2024 Upfront on October 31st at Sydney Town Hall.
SBS will unveil its key 2024 programming for media buyers and press across its suite of channels with an industry lunch (always a tasty affair).
That makes October a fairly busy time with Seven (Oct 18) and Foxtel (Oct 26) events confirmed.
10 and ABC are yet to announce their plans.

I’m not sure what way the Eurovision thing will go. I’ve always had the impression that James Taylor is much cooler on Australia’s participation than Michael Edeid was.
$5 says SBS will have more original drama in their upfront than Nine did.
This would be a great way to announce Australia’s continued participation in Eurovision, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
D-Day for Australia’s continued presence in the Eurovision Song Contest one would think. That said, if we were withdrawing/not seeking a new deal, you’d imagine they’d want to get that news out ahead of the Upfronts so that doesn’t dominate the coverage.
The last few years the EBU has released the official list of participating countries on October 20th. I gather we will find ouy either way at the end of October one way or another.
