ABC: Referendum coverage

Rolling coverage on Saturday night of Referendum results and analysis.

ABC has confirmed its programming for Saturday 14 October, when Australians vote whether to alter the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.

Coverage will air Live across Australia on ABC, ABC News and ABC iview*.

Jeremy Fernandez will host a 5pm AEDT ABC News national bulletin to be followed by Australia Votes: The Voice Referendum from 5:30pm AEDT.

Anchored by Bridget Brennan this features David Speers, and Dan Bourchier, with insights and analysis from Chief Elections Analyst Antony Green, Chief Political Correspondent Laura Tingle plus Isabella Higgins and Patricia Karvelas looking at both sides of the vote.

Although this will present as rolling coverage, programming is coded as follows until 10:30pm:

On Sunday David Speers hosts Insiders joined by panellists Isabella Higgins, John Paul Janke and David Crowe for a 90-minute post-referendum episode, with analysis from Casey Briggs and interviews with Yes and No campaigners.

A special edition of The Drum at 6:30pm hosted by Ellen Fanning looks at what’s next for Australia in the wake of the result.
