Eddie McGuire is returning to 10’s final broadcast of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, beginning with Victoria Derby Day.

He will be joined by Michelle Payne and Glen Boss, plus stalls reporter Caty Price, racing experts Michael Felgate, David Gately and Brittany Taylor, and horseback reporter James Winks.

Rob Mills, Georgie Tunny and Archie Thompson, will cover the glamour of the Birdcage and crowds.

10 announced it would not be proceeding with the Melbourne Cup beyond 2023 citing concerns over an increasing focus on gambling by Tabcorp and the Victoria Racing Club.

A new broadcaster is yet to be confirmed.

Victoria Derby Day Live from 11.30am AEDT – 6.00pm AEDT Saturday, 4 November on 10.

  1. Rumour has it channel 9 has beaten 7 to the punch which they aren’t happy about , also alot less than the $100M plus paid by Ten , we shall see.
