Poltergeist TV series in development

Happy Halloween….

A series version of 1982 horror classic Poltergeist is currently in early development at Amazon MGM Studios.

Variety reports no writer is currently attached to the project and there are no plot details to share at this time, beyond the fact the show will be set within the world of the film.

Poltergeist starred JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson, Heather O’Rourke and Zelda Rubinstein and centered on a family, who move into a new home only to discover that it is infested with ghosts -on the other side of a television set.

Two sequels followed in 1986 and 1988 with a reboot in 2015.

Poltergeist: The Legacy also screened in the USA for four seasons.
