Looking forward to Call the Midwife returning to Top 10; and indeed; Top 5. Hopefully this happens with ep 6 of season 1 on Sunday. Dr Patrick and Nun, Sister Bernadette have more scenes, which is the start of their relationship, plus season 2, culminating in both of them falling for each other, plus Sr B renouncing her vows, to marry Dr Patrick. Their marriage, and etc ensure that they are part of the mainstay of the show 12 years later, and why they are one of (if The most popular) couple/s on the show.. S1 has 6 eps; s2 has 9; s3 onwards have 8 also with their Christmas Specials.. Will always maintain that Call the Midwife; MASH; and Dr Quinn Medicine Woman, (are) The best medical dramas ever put on tv, and all three are historically accurate too. Doc Martin and The Good Doctor are 2nd in importance and brilliance.. I think s13 is about to wrap filming. Or it does in 2 weeks.
So The Block drags on (last night was Episode 45 of the season and 2022 had a ‘mere’ 41 episodes) – personally I dislike it but cannot deny a lot of people are drawn to it.
Ten continue their lazy programming – Norton as Sunday night prime time material, really? They seem to have no interest in any kind of revival of their fortunes and just continue on and on with The Project and weak following programs to no effect.
Though starting from an already low base SBS seems to be losing audience as well with their averages for their standard documentary programming dipping quite a bit.
I hesitate to imagine just how poor the offerings will be this Summer when the ratings period ends.
Yes, my thoughts were along those lines as well.
