The Block, Paying Attention in penultimate episodes.

Seasons nearly done for two big entertainment shows. Nine wins Monday.

A penultimate episode of The Block for 2023 topped entertainment on Monday at 651,000 metro viewers.

That eclipsed Australian Story (509,000), 7:30 (490,000), SAS Australia (381,000) and The Masked Singer at 364,000 but rising to 520,000 for the reveal of Brendan Fevola as The Captain.

Later the penultimate Have You Been Paying Attention? for 2023 drew 589,000 well ahead of then Media Watch (362,000) and Four Corners (361,000).

Nine network won Monday with 27.4% then Seven 26.7%, 10 20.4%, ABC 18.8% and SBS 6.8%.

Nine News (771,000 / 768,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair led with 660,000 then Hot Seat (358,000 / 223,000). Love Island premiered to 168,000 on Nine but debuted first at 9Now.

Seven News was #1 at 965,000 / 940,000 for Seven then The Chase (532,000 / 326,000) and Home & Away (469,000). SWAT was 130,000 / 109,000.

ABC News pulled 593,000. Q+A (184,000) and The Drum (148,000) followed.

The Project managed 295,000 / 195,000 for 10. 10 News First was  205,000 / 159,000. The Betoota Advocate Presents was 215,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (137,000 / 105,000), Finding Your Roots (76,000), Rescue: Extreme Medics (60,000), and Secrets of the Tower of London (48,000).

7TWO’s Doc Martin topped multichannels at 96,000.
