Upfronts 2024: what can we expect from Paramount?

Paramount / 10 is set to unveil its 2024 slate to advertisers on Tuesday.

Paramount will unveil their 2024 slate for 10, its multichannels and Paramount+ tomorrow.

10 is rolling out a series of ‘intimate’ events to advertisers and media across the country, which differ from large, single Upfronts recently staged by Nine and Seven.

A number of returning shows have already been confirmed through previous announcements, and there are several titles still to come in 2023.

There are also several shows awaiting some clarity, including hostings for both I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and MasterChef Australia.

On the rumour front both Deal or No Deal and Tough as Nails are likely to be confirmed. But is the Graham Norton-hosted Wheel of Fortune Australia bound for 10?

Paramount+ has been quite busy with original dramas including NCIS: Sydney, One Night, Paper Dolls, Fake and The Secrets She Keeps while there have been co-productions with Amazon Freevee and Channel 5.

But will Five Bedrooms return and should we expect any news on a return for The Living Room “rested” for 2023?

Look for a full post sometime tomorrow morning.

  1. I mean, good on them for trying something different with Deal or No Deal, but if it’s going to 6pm, a number of gameshows have failed in that slot already after they axed Family Feud. And, while they’re trying to sort out their early evenings, they could stand to do something about Sundays.

    1. Family Feud was successful enough, it lasted 5-6 years and while it trailed the 9 & 7 news bulletins, it had enough viewers to be a successful alternative for a few years.

      1. I always like Upfronts time where networks reveal shows that are getting renewed and new programs! In the heading shouldn’t it be “can” and regarding The Living Room the year 2024 not 2023?

  2. Do you suspect Five Bedrooms is not returning because of how S4 wrapped? I thoroughly enjoyed this series and if it doesn’t return I hope 10 replaces it with another well written drama.

    1. According to the Screen Australia website the answer to your question is … Yes.

To quote the last line of the webpage published back in mid-February ’23: “Coming Soon To 10 And 10 Play.”

  3. I do feel like 5 Bedrooms ending was pretty definite. Without spoiling, almost all story threads were tied up in the finale (brilliantly, by the way)
